Job Description:
Manson Parks is looking for someone to fill our seasonal Maintenance position. The ideal candidate is hard-working, works well with others, and takes pride in their work. Position pays $14.00 to $19.50 per hour, DOE. See job description below for details.
Job Title: Maintenance
Works under the authority of the Manson Park and Recreation District Maintenance Foreman. Full-time, seasonal, March through mid-November, or as needed.
Principal Purpose of Job
To effectively and efficiently maintain the parks and facilities of the Manson Park & Recreation District.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
Grooming, maintenance, & repairs of the parks and facilities
Clean restrooms daily (or more frequently if needed)
Pick up and dispose of litter, garbage, and pet refuse
Lock and or unlock restrooms and facilities
Direct traffic & verify guest payment at the boat launch during high-use times
Maintain tools and equipment as necessary
Repair broken water lines or sprinklers
Use push mower and weed-eater to maintain lawns
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills
Must be able to understand and carry out instructions effectively.
Self-motivated, dependable, & trustworthy; able to work with minimal supervision
Detailed knowledge of hand tools and equipment
Knowledge of park utilities
Must have good customer service skills
Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
Problem-solving and conflict resolution
Ability and desire to learn
Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule & work weekends

Work involves sitting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, stooping, talking, hearing, using hands, pushing, pulling, and reaching with hands and arms.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
Noise level varies from quiet to loud
Tolerate weather and outdoor conditions
Qualifications Required
Valid Washington State driver’s license free of serious &/or frequent violations
Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR and AED certification
Must pass background check
Proof of citizenship or authorization to work in the United States
OTHER
