Job Description:

The cheese associate provides excellent customer service for cheese products and prepared food items. The associate identifies, cuts, wraps, and labels different types of cheese. An interest in specialty food is helpful, since the position involves assisting customers in decision making and sampling. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly disposition are important! Retail experience is preferred, but we will train the right person. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Sense of urgency is important in our fast paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities
-Slice meats and cheeses to meet customer preferences.
-Wrap, weigh and price deli items.
-Prepare ready to eat food such cheese plates, mac n’ cheese and baguettes.
-Assist with preparing meat and cheese holiday platters.
– Operate and be responsible for cash register and ensure proper money handling to avoid cash overages or shortages.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
-Assist with maintaining the back stock including; rotating stock, dating and cleaning
-Assist with Cheese Club responsibilities and shipping
